Toowoomba Central Church
Our Vision
Our vision is to know, experience and share our hope in Jesus Christ
Our Mission
By God's grace and for His Glory, we will be a spiritual home where comfort and growth can be nurtured, a place where the ministry of Christ is experienced and shared with the wider community
The church is ideally situated in the CBD at 135 Hume Street, Toowoomba opposite extensive parklands. It is within walking distance from the Transit Centre should visitors wish to travel by the local bus service. It is also only a short walk from the botanical gardens, an ideal spot for a Sabbath picnic lunch where children can enjoy the freedom of frolicking on lush green lawns.
Toowoomba Central Sabbath services commence at 9-30am for Sabbath School which caters for people of all ages, from a spacious airy room housing the beginners group, primary and junior groups, a cosy youth room and the main auditorium for the adult program. The divine service commences at 10-50am with a praise segment leading into the worship time. This is organized by a worship team with an intentionally participative style aimed at leading people into the presence of God and sensitive to the wide spread of age groups and their specific needs.
Prayer is an integral part of the worship program. A short prayer time at 8:30am precedes Sabbath school and a prayer hour is held from 1:30pm.These are held in the prayer room which is also open during the morning for those wishing for a quiet spot for personal prayer.
Not a Sabbath goes by without a lunch being held after the worship service, either a hospitality lunch for those visiting and for members who wish to participate or a fellowship lunch held at least once a month which attracts a larger group. All are welcome to these lunches.
Toowoomba Central is a warm, inviting, friendly church. All are welcome irrespective of race or creed Make yourself known to one of the friendly greeters, to an elder, the Pastor or to the person sitting next to you and make sure you come again!
May God bless you as you worship at Toowoomba Central Seventh-day Adventist Church.
